Spiritual Fornication

Spiritual Fornication: The Sin of the Great Whore... Are You Guilty?

Most Bible reading Christians have read about the Great Whore spoken of
in the book of Revelation, but do not understand who she is and what her
sins are. When the Bible speaks of a woman, it is figuratively describing a
religious body, whether it be the true church, or a false church. The true
church is pictured as a group of people who will be the spiritual bride of
Christ at his return, at the marriage supper.

Rev. 19:7-9

Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of
the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean
and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the
marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, these are the true
sayings of God.

II Cor. 11:2

For I am jealous over you with Godly jealousy: For I have espoused
you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

The Great Whore is a religious body that has committed the sin of spiritual
fornication, which is not being loyal to God, by mixing in pagan, idol
worshipping customs with their worship of him. The old pagan practices
have eased their way into christian traditions, and today have become
unconditionally accepted around the world in most denominations.

Let's take a look at the customs that have crept into our religious beliefs:

Saturnalia - Every winter on the 17th of December the people of ancient
Rome began a wild party that lasted 7 days. The festival called Saturnalia
was in honor of Saturn the God of agriculture from whose name we get
Saturday. There were processions through the streets, candles were lit to
symbolize the rebirth of the year, houses were decorated with greenery and
presents were exchanged. Also tied into this time of festivities was the
revelling which centered around the worship of the sun. The festival lasted
from the 17th to the 24th of December with gifts exchanged, especially on
the last 2 days. Then on the 25th they celebrated "The Birth of the
Unconquerable Sun," as the days began to lengthen and the sun began to
regain it's dominance. (It was generally believed among pagans that the sun
dies during winter soltice and then rises from death)

Vernal Equinox - This is the days or period of days in the Spring when the
days and nights are again of approximately equal length. This is the time of
celebrating new life, the resurrection of nature from the dead and it has
typically featured fertility rights, merry making, and usually centers on
orgiastic sexual activities. In ancient times there was the sacrificing of
virgins, the worship of fertility Gods and Goddesses, and worship of the
phallus. "May Poles" almost certainly had their origin as phallic shrines,
around which orgiastic celebrants danced to honor the male sex organ. such
practices are known to have been featured in spring festivals in ancient
Egypt, Babylon, Greece and among the Druids in Great Britain and Europe.
Eggs as symbols of fertility have always been featured in such pagan
festivals as have rabbits (symbols of vigorous sexual activity and
reproduction).

In Ezek. 8:13-18, he describes a pagan observance of the God "Tammuz"
who died at the age of 40. The people set aside one day for each year of his
life to dedicate to worshipping him. It translates into the present day custom
of "40 days of Lent"!

Ezekiel 8:13-18

He said also unto me, Turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater
abominations that they do.

Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the Lord's house which
was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for
Tammuz.

Then said he unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? turn thee yet
again, and thou shalt see greater abominations than these.

And he brought me into the inner court of the Lord's house, and,
behold, at the door of the temple of the Lord, between the porch and the
altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the
temple of the Lord, and their faces toward the east; and they
worshipped the sun toward the east.

Then he said unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? Is it a light
thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which
they commit here? for they have filled the land with violence, and have
returned to provoke me to anger: and, lo, they put the branch to their
nose.

Therefore will I also deal in fury: mine eye shall not spare, neither will
I have pity: and though they cry in mine ears with a loud voice, yet will
I not hear them.

Many of these practices continue today, but are diguised as christian
holidays. Satan has cleverly deceived christians by designating these as
christian.

Joshua 24:15

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day
whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that
were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in
whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the
Lord.

All through the 17th chapter of Revelation the Bible describes in detail
Mystery Babylon the Great, the great whore, mother of harlots. It warns us
to "Come out of her", or distance ourselves from her:

Rev. 18:4

And I heard a voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people,
that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her
plagues.

He calls her a "whore" in other words she is prostituting herself, fooling
around with other Gods, not being faithful to God. So the first thing we
would have to understand is who "she" is. We know that all through the
Bible the term "woman" is used to refer to a religious body or a church. In
chapter 17 it clearly describes the whore who sitteth upon many waters
(people). It describes her in detail then says on her forehead is written a
name, "Mystery Babylon the Great, The Mother of Harlots and
abominations of the earth." It refers to the beast that carries her that
ascended out of the bottomless pit (Satan) or his representative. It talks
about the 7 mountains on which the woman sitteth. (Rome the city of 7
hills) It says the woman is that great city (or power) which reigneth over the
kings of the earth. Then in ch. 18, it says all the kings of the earth have
committed fornication with her. What other religion would fit this
description? What other religion has had harlots break off from her? What
church claims to follow Christ, but carries over so many pagan practices
with her? There is only one church that history shows to have made the
claim of authority over the kings of the earth.

It also says in Rev. 17:3 that she is "full of blasphemy". The Bible defines
blasphemy as someone other than God claiming to be able to forgive sins.
Mark 2:5-7 Only God has the power to forgive sins, yet priests claim that
power.

God specifically tells us time after time not to worship the "creation", and
yet that is what this entire religion is based on. Even the day they worship
is named in honor of the Sun God, and was changed to the official day of
worship by the Roman Emperor Constantine.

Professing christians today will say that it doesn't matter, that they are not
intentionally worshipping other Gods,....but what does God have to say
about it? God describes how he feels about the incorporation of these
customs into present day religion.

Jeremiah 10:1-4

Hear ye the word which the Lord speaketh unto you, O house of Israel:

Thus saith the Lord, learn not the way of the heathen, and be not
dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.

For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the
forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.

They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and
with hammers, that it move not.

II Kings 17:16

And they left all the commandments of the Lord their God, and made
them molten images, even two calves, and made a grove, and
worshipped all the host of heaven, and served Baal.

II Kings 21:2-3

And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, after the
abominations of the heathen, whom the Lord cast out before the
children of Israel.

For he built up again the high places which Hezekiah his father had
destroyed; and he reared up altars for Baal, and made a grove, as did
Ahab king of Israel; and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served
them.

God warns his people not to follow after the pagan practices of the
idolatrous nations of the earth, who worshipped the heavenly bodies, as
mentioned in the above verses, and are carried over in religious practices
today.

Duet. 12:28 -30

Observe and hear all these words which I command thee, that it may go
well with thee, and with thy children after thee forever, when thou
doest that which is good and right in the sight of the Lord thy God.

When the Lord thy God shall cut off the nations from before thee,
whither thou goest to possess them, and thou succeedest them, and
dwellest in their land;

Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after
that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou inquire not after
their gods, saying, how did these nations serve their Gods? even so will
I do likewise.

Ezek. 20:39

As for you, O House of Israel, thus saith the Lord God; Go ye, serve ye
every one his idols, and hereafter also, if ye will not hearken unto me:
But pollute ye my Holy name no more with your gifts, and with your
idols.

Many thousands of people today are professing to be christians, but are not
loyal to God. Most christians today are committing spiritual fornication and
are completely unaware that their practices are an abomination to God.

Rev. 14 talks about the 144,000 and says "These are they who are not
defiled with women (churches) who follow the Lamb whithersoever he
goeth". So we see that the criteria for being one of the 144,000 is loyalty!

Rev. 18:4

And I heard a voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people,
that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her
plagues.

We need to "come out" of the pagan practices of the great whore. Our
future depends on it.
